This is a monument to the American automobile. Constructed as part of a street widening project on a major intersection in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The gateway is also part of a small urban pedestrian park. (Landscape architects for the park were Campbell, Okuma and Perkins, Albuquerque, New Mexico.) This view illustrates the gateway within the neighborhood context.
