REGENERATION provides a distinctive southern gateway to the new John Muir Health Cancer Center and Outpatient Specialty Center in Walnut Creek, California. The sculpture is inspired by the form of native seed pods. These pods populate and regenerate the landscape.

The seed pod offers a metaphor for human regeneration, a regeneration of ideas, and a renewal of the mind, body, and spirit. By combining of contemporary materials with natural forms, this sculptural gateway evokes the human capacity to uplift and move forward in the face of setbacks and adversity.

The sculptures rise twenty-one feet above grade. The artwork is fabricated with laser-cut aluminum with integrated interior LED lighting.
